GAMPONG REGISTRATION OFFICER - Bringing Population Administration Services closer to the people in Aceh

Village Registration Officer (PRG) are the people appointed through a keuchik/reje decree to facilitate the ownership of population administration documents for citizens. The PRG has the duty to collect data at the village/village level on ownership of population documents, while at the same time facilitating population administration document services, but is not limited to documentation of birth and death certificates.


Locations:

The districts of West Aceh, Bireun and Bener Meriah, Aceh.


Impact:

  • In Bireuen district, the coverage of birth certificate ownership for children aged 0-18 years increased to 81.49 percent.
  • A total of 2,714 people, including the poor and vulnerable, have received birth certificates easily.
